IELTS Writing Task 2 là phần thi thứ hai của bài thi IELTS Writing học thuật (IELTS Academic Writing Test). INTRODUCTION
A school of thought holds that travelling abroad to gain insights into other countries is no longer necessary thanks to the presence of TV and the Internet while others claim that travelling to other nations is still necessary. These viewpoints are justifiable, but I lean towards the latter because of its real – life experience and authenticity.

BODY 1:
On the one hand, it is understandable why people assume that we can learn about other countries. One of the main reasons is that the introduction of technology now can provide people with a great deal of knowledge about other nations. In fact, people today can explore other countries’ cultures via lively visual aids such as presentations or even 3 – D images within a click. In France, for example, the government has successfully organized some virtual tours for visitors to some prestigious museums or palaces due to the social distancing situation.

BODY 2
On the other hand, I believe that there is no better way than travelling to other countries to acquire new knowledge or cultures. One clear reason is that by immersing ourselves understanding of the lifestyles or customs, things that televisions or the Internet can barely tell or illustrate. We could take part in some local festivals or try specialties, which means we are directly exposed to the culture of this nation.

Besides this, it is undeniable that information or knowledge on TV or the Internet is useful, yet not holistic. This is because online travel blogs are written based on the experience of the authors, which means he or she sees things from their subjective outlook and thus offers a tiny, limited grasp into the lives of people around the world. Directly traveling to other countries thus allows to observe, experience and harbor a comprehensive approach.
